I`ve not written in a good while. A couple of bad things have happened recently and I`ve not really felt like writing.

But I`m now back in the room.

And been fairly busy too.

Last weekend saw me take in my third trip to Disneyland with in the space of 12 months, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself too. With temperatures getting up to 106F on Saturday we left it until mid afternoon before taking the short taxi ride over to Anaheim and to the Disneyland Magic Kingdom.

The strategy seemed to work well. Going later in the day meant most of the kids had already left and the temperatures had started to drop to a comfortable 90F.

The longest we had to queue for any ride was 15 minutes which meant we were able to do all the rides at least 2 or 3 times each.

Top.

We stayed until midnight when the rides close and then headed back over to Fullerton.

Supporting the Germans:

We have a sweepstake running here in the office for the European Championships going on right now. From the random draw I managed to pick out the mighty Germany. I feel so dirty cheering them on, but everyone has a price, and in my case the price is 80 bucks.

Assuming we cruise past Turkey in the semi final I shall be spending Sunday as an Englishman supporting Germany in an American bar drinking Canadian beer.

Hopefully.

That’s if I survive Saturday night that is. I just got an email from a friend of mine. The first line of the email was this:

Hey mates! Let’s play with some liquid nitrogen this weekend. We can make some awesome ice cream and do a little other experimenting. Meanwhile, see if you can find a Nalgene bottle somewhere. They can supposedly take a lot of pressure.

Oh dear, I`ll be sure to post early next week to prove I`m still alive.

Last Friday night was pretty special. Off around Sunset Boulevard in downtown Hollywood in a limo stocked full of booze on a stag night with some top class mates, all of course wearing our drinking jackets which were bought from charity stores for less than 20 dollars.

Things don’t get much better.

Of course what happens on stag nights is forever a closely guarded secret so I`m unable to give a full report of the evenings events. But I am able to tell you some of the lessons we learned

- Being in a limo with 4 bottles of spirits and 100 bottles of beer for 9 hours means things are going to get messy.

- Not all limos have blackened out windows.

- Spearmint Rhino can be a very expensive place to be.

- Pinching a girls a*se is much less socially acceptable in Hollywood than it is in the UK.

- Bouncers over here do not have a sense of humor.

- Not all strip clubs are as liberal as Spearmint Rhino.

I`ll leave it up to you to think about how each and every one of these lessons was learned.
